Responsibilities

As a Substitute School based 1:1 Behavior Instructor for our 2016-2017 School Year, you will be joining a school-based special education team in the greater Los Angeles area, which works with school districts to deliver the highest-quality special education services to students with special needs.  

 

Substitute Behavior Instructors provide direct services in the school, as needed. Following the individual assessment and intervention plan for each student, targeting the defined behaviors following the ethical guidelines for appropriate conduct provided by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (www.BACB.com). Training will be provided for this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement treatment plans using ABA techniques
  • Ability to collect specific data
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships
  • Work independently and with supervisor to create treatment plans
  • Communicate with supervisors and other colleagues consistently and professionally
  • Attend training, supervision, and mentor meetings
  • Receptive to constructive feedback in group and individual settings
  • Access and competent with Microsoft word, excel, and internet
  • Must be able to work independently and meet all clinical and administrative deadlines

Qualifications:

  • Course work in related subject preferred
  • Experience in ABA preferred, not required
  • Experience working with middle and high school students
  • Bilingual Spanish speakers preferred

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Ability to pass Department of Justice background check
  • Maintain CA driver’s license and auto insurance
  • Pass a TB test
  • Ability to independently and repeatedly lift, move, and carry objects weighing up to 35 lbs

Compensation:

  • Starting pay: $17.00
